Sowing Guide - Indoors: Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly on the surface of a small tray or pot of pre-watered compost. Place in a warm, light position. A temperature of approx 20°C (68°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10cm (4”) tall. Grow on in cooler but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 25cm (10”) apart or into individual containers, when frosts are over.
Soil Type: Warm, well drained soil
Hints & Tips: The size of the small fruit is more than made up for by their delicious flavour. A mulch in summer will help keep plants moist and the berries off the ground. Plants will fruit for several years.
