Bakery Manager – Full-Time

Working hours: Monday to Sunday on a roster basis, including early mornings. Flexible availability is essential. Applicants must be aged 18+.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Wallace’s SuperValu is looking for a Bakery Manager to join our busy team. The successful candidate will ensure the bakery operates efficiently, producing high-quality products and delivering excellent service to our customers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a baker
• Previous food preparation and production experience
• 2 years’ experience in a Supervisor/Manager role (desirable)
• Qualified baker is a distinct advantage
• Proven ability to deliver financial margin
• Creativity and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
• Organised, flexible, and able to use own initiative
• Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales through KPIs, financial reports, brand initiatives, customer initiatives, and employee knowledge
• Build and share product knowledge with staff, offering suggestions to improve procedures and processes
• Merchandise and present the bakery department to the highest standards
• Adhere to weekly stocktaking procedures
• Ensure all staff are competent in their duties and receive adequate training
• Attend management meetings and implement learnings with the team
