Bakery Manager – Full-Time
Working hours: Monday to Sunday on a roster basis, including early mornings. Flexible availability is essential. Applicants must be aged 18+.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Wallace’s SuperValu is looking for a Bakery Manager to join our busy team. The successful candidate will ensure the bakery operates efficiently, producing high-quality products and delivering excellent service to our customers.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a baker
- Previous food preparation and production experience
- 2 years’ experience in a Supervisor/Manager role (desirable)
- Qualified baker is a distinct advantage
- Proven ability to deliver financial margin
- Creativity and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
- Organised, flexible, and able to use own initiative
- Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively live SuperValu brand values: Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative, and Imaginative
- Drive sales through KPIs, financial reports, brand initiatives, customer initiatives, and employee knowledge
- Build and share product knowledge with staff, offering suggestions to improve procedures and processes
- Merchandise and present the bakery department to the highest standards
- Adhere to weekly stocktaking procedures
- Ensure all staff are competent in their duties and receive adequate training
- Attend management meetings and implement learnings with the team
