Current Vacancies:
Assistant Manager – Full-Time
Hours: 5 days per week, Monday to Sunday on a roster basis. Applicants must be 18 or over.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the store operates efficiently, providing our customers with the very best service and fresh food offering in a clean, safe environment. You will help deliver key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management position
- Level 1 and Level 2 knowledge of food safety
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Working knowledge of the CBE system is desirable
- Excellent communication and delegation skills
- Highly driven with a strong work ethic
- Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
- Commercial awareness and brand understanding
- Passion for grocery retail
- Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Main Duties:
- Ensure customer satisfaction is the top priority at all times
- Maintain merchandising and presentation of the store to the highest standard, in line with store planograms and guidelines
- Assist the Store Manager in developing and training the team to meet SuperValu Retail Excellence and I-CARE Service Excellence standards
- Support the Store Manager in the smooth running of the store by prioritising and delegating workloads
- Lead by example, fostering teamwork and a positive work atmosphere
- Support staff management, including rostering, timekeeping, and annual leave
- Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition, and encouragement
- Ensure the company GOLD system reflects an accurate picture of performance
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, alcohol sale, and employment legislation
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs as agreed with the Store Manager
