Sowing Guide - Indoors: Sow indoors a warm ktichen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow, 0.5cm (1/42") deep, in a tray of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20oC (60-68oF) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Transplant individually when large enough to handle to 8cm (3"). (Always handle by the leaf, never by the stem.) Grow on in cooler but nont cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 30cm (1') apart when frosts are over.
