A next-generation, highly flexible MS Polymer sealant, X-Seal surpasses various traditional sealants in terms of performance, usability and flexibility. While the original Tec7 and Trans Clear products perform exceptionally as all-round sealants, you may occasionally encounter a situation in which a specialist, extreme-performance sealant is required to get the job done to the highest possible standard. Such “extreme” cases include areas with very high propensity for mould or bacterial growth (XS1-rated sanitary sealant), areas that will be exposed to aggressive cleaning chemicals or intense UV radiation, sealing of expansion joints, certain glazing applications, sealing airtight membrane or radon barriers and sealing between materials with very different thermal/hygric expansion behaviours (e.g. metal to brick). It has exceptional adhesive qualities combined with extremely high elongation/movement capacity. It also has excellent body, making it very user-friendly and easy to achieve a smooth professional finish to every joint (use in conjunction with Prepare & Finish and Perfect Finish for best results). X-Seal has excellent resistance to chemicals/UV, and its XS1 certification signifies the highest achievable rating in terms of resistance to mould and bacterial growth – making it the ultimate sanitary sealant! On top of all this, X-Seal has all the benefits of the original Tec7 in terms of being fully paintable, safe for use on porous surfaces and natural stone (no staining!), food-safe, suitable for use on wet surfaces and free from any known or suspected toxic components, solvents, pthtalates and isocyanates. It also has the highest possible certification regarding environmental credentials, and indoor emissions.
